Slime Knight was my senior capstone project that was a collaboration with Gabe Rodriguez. With us having total freedom in what we wanted to pursue, we wanted to spend our final semester by taking our love for gaming to create a series of our own.

Research

When creating our game we had the goal of creating a positive user experience and keeping in mind the accessibility of the UI for people with color blindness. Our initial research was composed of interviewing people with color blindness and looking at trends in how developers succeed and fail at making their games accessible.

Deliverables

While Gabe was creating the game itself, I had to create a visual identity that would represent our game and ideals, and translate it into different executions of branding. With the abrupt shift from being able to work in person to working from home in quarantine, we wanted our game to be a light hearted adventure featuring slime creatures that work as mail carriers in a colorful and accessible game about delivering gifts and traveling.
